blue crocheted hangingWe all need support at some point in our lives. That’s what our friends, our family, the relationships we build is all about – support.

Sometimes we just need to vent. And I vented to a friend just the other day. 🙂

Sometimes we need an ear to listen. We can talk to someone who knows us well, or we can talk to someone who doesn’t know us at all. Depending on the situation, one could be more beneficial for what we need.

Sometimes it’s a hug of support we need. Human contact is an interesting thing. I personally do not have any pets and am not seeing anyone right now. So the hug of a friend is many times, just what I need. No words need to be said, just the feeling of the loving arms surrounding my shoulders.

Sometimes the support we need is from a counselor, a therapist or a group of others going through a similar situation we are. Someone who has some words of wisdom or comfort we are searching for at the time.

The most important thing is to have a support system built in so when you ‘need’ the support, it’s there.

recently went to a support group to support the person leading the group.

For those of you that have lost a Loved One in your life, you know that you never ‘get over’ that loss. You ‘get through’ it and that loss becomes part of who you are.

I realized my story of Mom’s transition, from almost 40 years ago and how I’ve worked with grief, can help someone else who has a more recent loss. Our losses are always with us, no matter how much time has passed. They are part of our journey. And in sharing our journey, we can sometimes help another.

We give and receive support from others all along the way. Sometimes the giving we may not even realize we have done.

When someone you know has a loss in their life, and you don’t know what to say, that’s OK. Just being there, letting them know you support them, may be just the support they need.

Angel Blessings to you.

We all need support. As an empowerment coach support is a big part of what I do as I help people unfold their authentic life and the advancement of the soul a lot of junk comes up. I have discovered it is important to learn to feel the feelings and process them so you can release them, support is a very helpful part of this process.

Yes, feeling the feelings as they come up and not stuffing them away is so important. Thanks for sharing Maria. 🙂

Very lucky to have the support of my family, my husband and son have been brilliant. It is great when you find support elsewhere too, just like for the Blog Challenge. Thanks Sue

Support is a very vital part of our lives – both personally and professionally. I believe its important to acknowledge and reciprocate too. Sometimes you don’t realise the support you were receiving until it’s no longer there.

That’s a really good point Dot. And a great reminder to appreciate everyone in our lives, now, today.
