Send Love and Gratitude

Mr RogersWhat happened this year at the Boston Marathon has been in the news. There is much focus on the fear people are experiencing.

I would like to help shift the fear to love and gratitude.

It was horrific what happened. It was senseless and we may never understand the reason why it happened.

Take some time to feel and release the anger, the fear, the frustration. Feel these feelings, journal about them, shout them out to an empty room or an audience. Feel them and release them. Maybe even punch a punching bag to help get the frustrations out.

  • Feel
  • Journal
  • Yell
  • Punch (a pillow, a punching bag)
  • Stomp
  • Deep breaths

After you’ve had time to feel and release these feelings, take some time to send love and gratitude.

Send love to all who were killed in the explosions. Send love to all who were injured. Send love to all of the families who were involved.

Send love to yourself as well, to fill up your cells in the areas you have just released those fears and frustrations.

Now send love and gratitude to all of the helpers, the workers, anyone who was there to assist in any way they could and in ways they knew how.

I saw this picture of Mr Rogers yesterday. I used to watch his TV program but do not remember him saying that. But it’s true, when there are tragedies, there are always those who run to assist. "Look for the helpers." Look for the helpers you can see and know there are helpers you may not be able to see. Yes, that would be the Angels!

Love and Gratitude to you.

Angel Blessings to you.

Great article. Coming to you from the UBC. I appreciate you making the suggestion of taking a deep breath and breathing in some positiveness to our lives. It is so hard in a society crumbling in front of our eyes, but allowing that to effect our future does nothing to help us! Thanks for the encouragement! Keep on making that positive impact in the world!

Definitely some great thoughts in dealing with the awful events. I find prayer is the one that helps me the most.

Saw the Mister Rogers photo and quote all over FB yesterday. Nice way to restore perspective in scary and sad times.
