Do Not Engage

Screen Shot 2016-07-03 at 12.48.59 PMI love how today’s blog evolved. I was having a conversation with a friend and I told her a story of a situation I was recently in.

I was having a conversation with someone. I was explaining something that my feeling was it was difficult for them to understand and grasp. It was of a tech thing and I will admit, some things in the tech world come very easy to me (they always have) and some things don’t. I asked how they were feeling about it — I was picking up anxiety at a pretty high level.

There was a bit of a blast that came flying my way. I could feel all of their frustration hurled at me through their tone

I chose not to respond. The frustration level was at a very high level. I simply started packing up my things to leave.

It would not have mattered what words came out of my mouth. The best thing for that situation was ‘Do Not Engage’.

The story fit perfectly with the conversation I was having with my friend.

Shortly after I was having a conversation in my head (yes, I do that — and I bet you do too) and the thought came flying through ‘Do Not Engage.’

Wow, it certainly applied to that particular conversation also. OK Angels, I’m getting the idea that this is to be the topic for the blog.

Do Not Engage does not mean you don’t care. It does not mean you are not being compassionate. It simply means there will be situations you are in where the best thing you can possibly do for that scenario is to walk away or keep your mouth shut or change to a different topic.

In the story I told, I said nothing. My action was to pack up. What happened next was interesting.

I packed up without saying a word though I did not stand up to leave. The other person in turn packed up and then sat back down and talked about something totally different and their whole tone and manner was much different.

If I would have blasted something back, it would have been a very different story.

I’m not saying to not stand up for what you believe in. Do Not Engage is more about taking on the observer role and not letting your emotions run the situation.

Where in your life might it be worth a try to not engage?

You are correct in that sometimes no response is the best response, or as you stated, "Do Not Engage".  What is it all worth…especially in the technoligy field…not everyone catches on  as easily as others, but maybe in time, if someone is shown what and how technoligy can be a huge help, the situation will/would be much different…especially with a friend.

You cultivate friends, and maybe when you get an extra minute, you can slowly share your tech knowledge to help that person.  Since that person did not pack up and leave as you stated shows me that they respect you, because no big deal was made of their lack of tech industry.

Your Question:  Where in your life might it be worth a try not to engage

Response:  Daily.  If you deal with the general public you keep your toung very silent where and when necessary.  I say this only if it relates to general issues, not life altering matters.  THE END

Oh Stephanie, you are so right – dealing with the public… dealing with co-workers and at times with friends – until the best opportunity may come up. In the heat of the moment is many times, the time to not engage. You and I could easily have a long conversation on this – I know!!!

I pulled a card for you Steph! I sure miss seeing you at the Angel Card Parties. The card is – Clairvoyance / Archangel Raziel – I am helping your spiritual sight to awaken fully so you can clearly see Heavenly love. This tells me that you’re still working on things and still working with the Angels. It also says that you are getting things much clearer (and will continue to) than in the past. Keep on going Steph!!

Broome,   I wish I could do the "do not engage" more, but of late, I find myself engaging tons. Especially about this current political environment – Donald v. Hillary. Without saying "stuff", I think you'd be proud of me. I will try to not engage as much in the future;)           DM

Yes, yes, yes – politics – that’s definitely one of those Do Not Engage modes. And Darnell, I’m sure I would be proud!! This is a time where not only not engaging with the craziness, but sending love and asking the Angels to step it up!!!

      Angel Blessings to you Darnell!

Absolutely Oleta. It’s amazing to me too, how many times this has come up in conversation just over the last 2 days. 🙂
