Bridges of Love

Howdy Peeps!

Once again I woke up today, and yesterday, with a song on my mind. This is a song I know I haven't heard for a long while on the radio so of course there's a message. And I'm sure you'll think so too, once you hear what the song is: Love Can Build a Bridge, by the Judds.

bridge picThe chorus is what has been playing over and over in my mind:

love can build a bridge
between your heart and mine
love can build a bridge
don't you think it's time?
don't you think it's time?

The levels that this speaks to me are multi-leveled for sure.

  1. It's a beautiful song and the link to the video above has a beautiful message as well as beautiful scenery.
  2. The healing energy I was re-awakened to is called The Bridge energy (I talk about on the Meet Sue page of my site).
  3. The wonderful picture I'm using for this blog as well as the one I have for my header, of a bridge is taken at Olbrich Gardens. And I took it. I think it's awesome there are so many things of beauty so easily accessible to us.
  4. I believe the bridge we have between people here in the physical and those who have passed is made of love. This bridge of love is the connection I use to talk with much of my family.
  5. When we look at things with our 'love-colored glasses' we build a bridge between us where there may have been a divide before.
  6. We are stronger together, as a team, when we are working toward the same thing.

when we stand together
it's our finest hour
we can do anything, anything
anything, anything
keep believin' in the power

Look at what is going on in your life. Are there areas where you could 'build that bridge of love'? It's not always an easy thing to do if your in the midst of an argument. But is it the right thing to do?

If you have someone who has passed and you would like to 'build that bridge of love', here's something you can do:

Think of a memory of your loved one that brings a smile to your face every time you think of it.

Now, close your eye and think of that specific memory. Bring in all the details around it, the sights, the sounds, any scents. If there was laughter, hear the laughter, if you were holding hands, feel the sensation on your hand.

Stay with this memory for several minutes and really feel the energy around all of the sensations.

While you are in this memory, you and your loved one have built a bridge of love – between their heart and yours.

The love connection we have between one another is really all that matters!

Angel Blessings to you.

Thank you so much Sue. I had never heard this song before – it’s so beautiful. Your blog and this song is how I started my day. I started out with building a bridge with my dad – in some ways the least likely for me to build a bridge of love with – never managed that while he was alive since I was a very little girl. But it was easy this morning – and beautiful.

Thank you for sharing that Gail. That makes my morning. I truly believe there is so much healing that we can do this way. And I feel their spirit feels the love connection we have and smile (as my wonderful chimes go off as confirmation :)). I also think that the lessons we decided to learn with people don’t stop just because they aren’t in the physical anymore…
